Saskatchewan PNP Invites 621 Candidates With Tech Work Experience

Saskatchewan has just held its largest PNP draw since February, targeting candidates in three tech occupations

There is incredible news for the students and workers who are waiting for an update on their Canadian Immigration. Just a few days ago, on September 15 the Saskatchewan invited a total of 621 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

It was not long ago when Canada decided to invite applications for permanent residence. A week earlier, Canada managed to issue almost 4,200 invitations for Canadian permanent residence. Canada did not change its immigration policies in a way that might harm any of the immigrants.

No wonder, there are thousands of people across the globe, who prefer moving to Canada than any other country. Canada is also known as the only country in the world that invites thousands of skilled workers and talented people from all over the world to reside in Canada as permanent residents.

Recently, The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) also invited candidates from the International Skilled Worker category by two sub-categories:

· Express Entry

· Occupations In-Demand.

In order to be invited in this specific draw, candidates from both the mentioned subcategories have to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles with the SINP.

The main eligibility criteria to be selected and be able to apply, you have to also show your Educational Credential Assessments, that include foreign degrees, diplomas, and certificates with comparison to Canadian credentials.

The selection process and criteria are purely based on your work experience, education credentials along with language ability. The SINP uses the EOI system to select the candidates that have the most potential to succeed in the regional labor market in Canada. To be selected, the candidates need to demonstrate their commitment to building a life in Saskatchewan by showcasing their work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province. If the candidates fail to do so, then the application might get rejected.

After the demonstration of the skills of these candidates, the SINP grants scores to each candidate. The SINP uses these factors/skills to assess candidates and grant them a score out of 100 on the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The candidate who scores the highest marks is issued an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.

On September 15, the SINP issued 455 invitations to candidates who had their profiles in the federal Express Entry pool. In case you do not know, The federal Express Entry system is responsible to manage the pool of candidates for three of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

One benefit applying for SINP along with the Express Entry pool is that ‘the candidates who receive a provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This award guarantees that they will be invited to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw, as most invitation rounds invite candidates with scores in the 400’s. The latest Express Entry draw invited candidates with scores of at least 472’. (Courtesy-CIC news)

However, the same criteria and benefits go with any of Canada’s Provincial programs. You can apply for these at the earliest and become a Canadian resident in the simplest of ways.
