Skilled workers from the U.S. coming to Canada in large numbers

If you do not live under a rock, you might have already heard about the new immigration policies and laws of the Trump administration. These new laws have forced several US citizens to have to move out or settle somewhere else.

 

Canada has successfully offered several options and enticing schemes that have invited new talent across the world. This began when Canada introduced GTS, The Global Talent Stream in 2017. GTS enables Canadian employers to offer the occupational job to the skilled workers that fit into occupational demands.

 

The GTS was introduced in 2017 and since then thousands of people that are talented and skilled and invited to work in Canada. GTS enables the people to apply under it to secure a work permit within 2 weeks.

 

This has attracted several US citizens and even non US-Citizens to Canada. Skilled workers have been offered several incredible jobs that fit their skills and make them secure a better life in Canada. There has been a rapid increase in the number of workers moving to Canada from the US for permanent jobs.

 

The study and analysis of immigration citizens are done by the Express Entry End Report-2019. The statistics from the latest Express Entry Year-End Report 2019 that shows the number of U.S. residents who successfully benefited from Express Entry was increased by at least 75 percent between the years 2017 and 2019.

 

The percentage increase attributed to the U.S. is much higher and even double when compared to the other countries. Those who do not have any idea, know that Express Entry is an online system used by Canada to manage skilled immigration applications from those who want to become permanent residents. Moreover, the author of the analysis, Zachary Arnold, attributes this growth in successful submissions number was increased by at least 128 percent between 2017 and 2019.

 

The analysis and study show the following results:

 

      • 80.3% of respondents were employed in Canada
      • 78.7% had permanent jobs
      • 61.2% found work inside three months
      • 73.8% were employed within six months

 

The increase in skilled workers migrating to Canada is said to be due to the reason the immigration laws being unfriendly to the immigrants. The aggressive and strict immigration policies of the US have made it difficult for the workers to settle or dream of a better future in the same. In the midst of several countries rapidly changing immigrant laws, Canada managed to keep their immigrant laws simple and available for everyone. This allows skilled workers to secure incredible jobs in Canada than anywhere else. The increase in-migration of suitable and skilled workers is due to the fact that Canada whole-heartedly welcomes new talent across the world.
