WHAT IS EXPRESS ENTRY?

Express entry is all about catalyzing the visa process by launching 3 major economic programs. These 3 federal economic immigration programs are:

    • Federal Skilled Worker Program
    • Federal Skilled Trade Program
    • Canada experience class

The first program, which is the Federal Skilled Worker Program is for those foreigners who hold respected degrees from well-recognized universities and have at least one year of work experience outside Canada. This program is also meant for highly skilled workers who are associated with professions like medical, management, and tech.

The second program, Federal Skilled Trade Program is for foreigners with at least 2 years of work experience outside Canada. It covers people who are into professions like electricians, mechanics, or butchers.

The third program, Canada Experienced Class, is for the foreigners who have work experience in Canada.

Now, for the benefits of people under the above categories, a draw is held by the Express Entry System. The candidates are selected on the basis of their scores. The scoring is done according to the candidate’s age, lingual skills, flexibility, educational qualification, and work experience.

The people scoring highest marks are selected and are sent invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada. If you have not been shortlisted, your name stays in the draw till the time you get shortlisted. The maximum time frame for you to get shortlisted is 1 year, after that, your name will be removed from the draw.
